Is it too late to apply for student loans and grants and etc?

student grants

I’ve had a fallout with my parents, and they’ve decided to not pay my college tuition fees. I’m Asian and so I had to submit bank statements to the universities to. Before, my parents were willing to pay for my tuition so I didn’t apply for a scholarship, and my family is well-off enough so that I’m not considered for grants or loans. Is it too late for me now to apply for a student loan or grant? And also, are there any organizations that I can apply to who can help?

It isn’t too late, and you need to know that student loans are NOT need based! If they were, I’d be in your situation.

So you need money to complete this semester? You have two options.

1)Federal loans from your school–not credit based, so anyone can get them, no matter what your credit is. The downside is, they can sometimes take forever to prcoess–the first one I got took a few MONTHS. I applied in January and finally got money in April!

2)private loans that don’t require school certification I think are the way to go for you, because you’ll receive your money MUCH faster. However, most ARE credit based, so if you don’t have good credit you will need to find a coborrower. A good one is the Education Maximizer through Bank of America.

    Good luck!

  2. Damaris Said,

There are so many uses for old secured personal loans, and the chances are you will be able to get one quickly and easily. It’s a common idea that only homeowners can get loans from finance companies. That just isn’t true, most people can apply for, and receive an unsecured personal all kinds of uses. You can get loans from a few hundred pounds, up to £25,000, unsecured. These loans can be used to buy a new car, a holiday abroad, a new kitchen, the latest cell phone available, or just about anything
