How do I write grant proposals to Taiwanese and Chinese Governments?
How would an American Marketing Director for a Taiwan based business go about trying to get grants from the Taiwan and PRC Governments, and in return promoting Chinese culture and image through our work?
Although I am fairly new to Taiwan, I asked a number of my Taiwanese associates about this. The first thought for a “contact organization” which came to mind was the Council for Cultural Affairs. Their website is
However, my associates pointed out that it would be extremely unlikely that a Taiwanese government organization would offer funding to a private company (whether local Taiwanese, foreign, or whatever) for the types of projects you are proposing.
In order to apply for such funding, such an application would most likely have to be made from a Taiwanese established association or foundation.
If you are interested in establishing a Taiwanese association or foundation to proceed with your project, I believe that any large Taiwanese accounting firm would be able to advise you on the details involved.
