Talk with your financial aid department. Every
State has money set aside for college students who have bad credit. They have co-signers "Student Loan Foundations." Ask about this. Good luck!!!

Also Sally Mae has different types of loans. Try Citibank also.
( For student loans)!!!!
-------> International Students on the web Great search engine and information site for everything Dept. of Education for any questions

I'm not exactly sure I understand . . .

The FAFSA determines the amount of money you will receive based on your assets adn the expenses of your school. The cost of room and board is considered in your available assets and expected contributions. If you have "0" assets, you would be receiving the maximum award available at your school.

Student loans are always considered to be part of the award package. If you are ineligible for a private loan, you should still be able to negotiate a government-backed loan.

It has NOTHING to do with your Financial Aid office. It is all in the hands of the government legislators and available tax dollars that fund the various grants.

Have you asked for a scholarship? Do you have a job? That's how most of us with no parental assets paid for our non-school expenses.
