I know for a fact that they do if you are a teacher or a police officer. My husband is a teacher and we got down payment assistance and a lower interest rate. Also, you might try fanniemae. I found the information about our loan through the community development corporation in Centereach, NY. Although you likely don’t live in Centereach, by going to their website you might get pointed in the right direction. As far as tuition reimbursement it depends upon the career you chose. My hubby got loan forgiveness fr working in a high risk school for 3 years. On the other hand, I worked as a social worker for 7 years and didn’t get a penny back.
