Any leads to look for housing grants or assistance for low income, single parent and student ?
I reside in Geoegia and am looking to find housing grants or information where i can find out how to obtain a housing grant. I am a single parent and a student. Can anybody refer me to something or someone?
Greatly apprediate any help or info you can pass on to me.
Talk to a mortgage banker. Many states have bond programs that have lower rates & sometimes free money for your down payment. Some metro areas have special grants. More than likely you will need to be employed & the free money is usually reserved for those with good credit. Student loan money cannot be used for down payment or income.
I have seen a lot of announcements for housing grants in the last week or so. Either it has to do with the housing market slowdown, or it’s just the season for giving
Check your city website, or call their Housing Department.
