Any advice on what to look for when shopping around for home equity loans?

Are there referral commissions?

I have a couple of individuals looking for a home equity loan … I told them I’d look into it for them. I’d like to find a quality vendor, but if referrals commissions are paid out, I’d like to negotiate for that too.

How do I figure out what is a “great deal”?

PS. I’ll happily take general replies but this would be specific to Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

I am a new Loan Officer and was wondering on how to bring in people who wants to refinance, get pre-approve or do home loans either thru emails or something?

I have the following text boxes on my C# windows application:

amountOfLoan
APR
durationOfLoanInYears

and a label called monthlyPayment.

When you click the calculate button, the monthly payment should be displayed in the monthlyPayment label.

Can someone help me with the code that needs to go behind the Calculate button?

IN CASE IT HELPS, THE FOLLOWING FORMULA IS USED TO COMPUTE THE MONTHLY PAYMENT:

payment = (Principle x Rate) / (1 – (1+Rate)) ^ -numberOfMonths

“Payment is equal to principle times rate divided by 1 minus (1 plus rate) to the negative numberOfMonths power”

I just don’t know how to express this in C#….

We have found the perfect home for very little money and need to buy instead of rent since our oldest starts high school next year. My credit probs are due to divorce and my husbands due to him being unemployed for a period of time. We can afford the home payments just can’t find the loan. HELP!!!!

I go to school online and I use education loans to pay for my education for the most part. Reporters talk about home forclosures due to loans and vehicle reposessions all the time, but I do not hear anything about education loans. Are education loans also affected by our slowing economy? I am worried if when I graduate, will I be able to afford the loans I took out for my education.
