Government Loan Grants

I passed my state exam but need approximately $2,000 for all of the fees.

I’m thinking about enrolling in Purdue University here in Indiana where I work as a custodian. I’m currently planning on going for a Masters or PhD in Archaeology and wondering if there may be a site online that would have info to help people like me get financial aid. I’m also curious about grants. If I must go with a student loan, is there a site that might help me with what I should look for?

If you make a D in a class do you have to immediately repay the grants and student loans? II cannot believe I made such a bad grade! I can’t stop crying… :-((

I am a full time student and single mom who is iving on a very low income. I am barely making it and all it would take is one major financial catastrophe to ruin me. I was told to look into applying for government or private grants, not just for educational purposes but apparently there are grant programs out there for everything from buying a car or home to starting a new business. I did some research and found that most of the grant programs on-line are scams so I am wondering if there is anyone out there who has received grant money for anything other than school? Can anyone tell me of any legitimate grant programs they are aware of or is this all just an unrealistic dream of receiving free money? Any advice would be helpful! Thanks!

where do i go to find out how much i can get, and how to get it. i need about 7-10 thousand for the semester. any info will help this is for a school project. the grant needs to be for my first year in college. it will be for csun. thank you God bless

How do you go about getting student loans for your child?
My daugther wants to attend Purdue University and I am a single Mother making only 30,000 and with FSA she gets little or no money are there any grants or scholarships available. Thank you

I am 40 and I have 4 kids (3 are still under age). I want to go back to school to get my associates degree in computer science. I have been on county aid for the last 14 years in to be able to raise my kids by myself. I have no family and no real “support”. Is it possible financially for me to go to school and still be able to support my family?

My fiance has had a very good job and has been supporting me while I am going to school so I have had no income except for my student loans and grants which equal up to 15,000 dollars.
Will I claim this as my income to pay my taxes?
My finanicial aid advisor has not been the best with explaining things to me and rarely calls me back.

I have a few student loans from last year and a couple pell grants. And since tax season is almost here, i just want to know whats going to happen? Do i pay taxes on the money i recieved for college? Also, I barely worked bc i was taking so many classes. But I have to file to recieve further financial aide. So am i going to pay out of pocket? or will the taxes still be income based?

Aside from the money that I made at my job in 2007, do I factor in all of my student loans,grants,and scholarships? Are those taxable income?
